Early Life and Education
Blake Horstmann was born on 22 April 1989 in Bailey, Colorado. In 2011, he graduated with a degree in Marketing and Communication Studies from Hastings College based in Hastings, Nebraska.
Career
After graduation, Horstmann began his career as a survey manager at the National Research Corporation in Lincoln, Nebraska Area in November 2011. Five months later, he was promoted to implementation specialist. He worked at the corporation till August 2013.
In February 2014, he started working at Coors Distributing Company. Horstmann initially worked as a merchandiser for seven months and also served as a route relief for three months. In November 2014, he became an off-premise sales representative. According to his LinkedIn profile, he is still serving in the role as of October 2021.

In 2018, Horstmann joined the cast of the 14th season of ABC’s reality television dating game show The Bachelorette. He finished as the runner-up during the season, which featured TV Personality Becca Kufrin as the lead.

Horstmann returned as a contestant for season 6 of ABC’s Bachelor in Paradise in 2019. It is a spinoff of The Bachelorette. He appeared in 12 episodes of the show.

Relationship between Blake Horstmann and Becca Kufrin
In one of the Behind the Rose podcast episodes, Horstman shared his feelings about Kufrin’s claims about their relationships. Earlier, Kufrin, in her podcast, claimed that “her recent reconnection with Blake was not as romantic as her runner-up from her season of The Bachelorette had made it seem.”
In response, Horstmann said, “Listen, I was hurt by the podcast. … Like you said, it’s no secret that we were hanging out prior. I don’t think it was some secret — like, [it] wasn’t at all. More than anything, I was hurt by it [...] I think the people — my friends — certainly know the truth. I think most of the people in Bachelor world know the truth, her friends sure as shit know the truth. So it’s like, it is what it is.”
