Ava Russo is an actress best known for portraying the role of Lila Barton in Avengers: Endgame (2019).

Ava Russo is an actress and daughter of Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) director Joe Russo. She has appeared in the 2019 Marvel film Avengers: Endgame and the 2021 Marvel television miniseries Hawkeye.

Russo has maintained a private profile and is not active on any social media platform, but there is one fan Instagram account under her name, dedicated to her and her film and miniseries character, Lila Barton.

Ava’s birthday falls on 15 December. She was born in 2000 in Italy.

Parents and Siblings

Ava was born to Italian-American parents. Her father is an American filmmaker and producer Joe Russo known for directing Marvel films, including Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), Captain America: Civil War (2016), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and Avengers: Endgame (2019). In addition, he has directed several other films, including You, Me, and Dupree (2006) and Cherry (2021). 

Joe has been married to Pooja Raj since 17 September 2011, and they are known to have two children (Lia and Sophia Russo).

Raj is Ava’s stepmother. The identity of her biological mother hasn’t been disclosed.

On 23 April 2019, Joe attended Avengers: Endgame premiere in Los Angeles as he shared a picture with Ava and Lia on the joint Instagram account @therussobrothers.

Ava's father Joe collaboratively works with his older brother Anthony Russo to direct, produce, and write films, and the brothers are collectively known as The Russo Brothers.

Anthony Russo's family includes Ann and two children.  

Movies and Television Shows

Ava debuted her acting career as Lila Barton in the 2019 superhero film Avengers: Endgame, replacing twin sisters Imogen and Isabela Poynton, who portrayed the character in the Avengers film series’ previous film Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015).

Based on the Marvel comic of the same name written by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, Avengers: Endgame was released on 26 April 2019.

The character

Russo’s character Lila Barton is the eldest child of Clint Barton (played by Jeremy Renner). They appeared shooting arrows in the opening moments of Avengers: Endgame.

Lila manages to shoot a perfect bullseye, and the proud Clint calls his daughter Hawkeye. Lila and the rest of Clint’s family would later become Thano’s snap victims. Fortunately, Lila was resurrected alongside other snap victims in the film five years later.

Reprisal

Russo reprised the role of Lila in the 2021 television miniseries Hawkeye. She appeared in four of six episodes of the miniseries such as ‘Never Meet Your Heroes,’ ‘Hide and Seek,’ ‘Partners, Am I Right,’ and ‘So This Is Christmas?’ that aired from 24 November to 22 December 2021.

Lila and her father Clint’s close bond was highlighted in the first episode.

The Plot

Created for television by Jonathan Igla for Disney Plus, Hawkeye is set during Christmas 2025, about two years after the events of the film Avengers: Endgame. The miniseries is based on the Marvel superhero Hawkeye, highlighting the adventures of the young avenger, Kate Bishop (played by Hailee Steinfeld), who performs the role of the original Hawkeye, Clint Bishop.

As of 2022, Russo's net worth has not been revealed. However, some sites have estimated it to be around $2 million or amount between $1 to 5 million.
