'Nine Perfect Strangers'

Nine Perfect Strangers is an Australian drama miniseries based on Liane Moriarty's best-selling novel 'Nine Perfect Strangers.' The show's first episode aired on 18 August 2021 on Hulu, and the last eighth episode aired on 22 September 2021.

Keddie played the role of Heather in the eight-part series. The drama shows nine people that attend a 10-day 'Mind and Body Total Transformation Retreat' hosted by Masha, a mysterious Russian woman played by Nicole Kidman, at the Tranquillum House.

Keddie, a longtime fan of Moriarty's novels, had already read the book before the audition and was drawn with Heather's character. However, according to her co-star Nicole Kidman, Keddie's casting in Nine Perfect Strangers was doubted by American investors. She fought back and advocated for Keddie to take over the role of Heather Marconi.

After Keddie got the role, she was both thrilled and frightened to put herself in the shoes of the bereaved mother. "I felt afraid of really diving into the kind of grief of having lost a child to suicide," she explained in a 2021 interview with Insider. Moreover, she also mentioned that Heather's loss was unimaginable to her as a mother of two sons.

Husband

In 2014, Keddie married her husband Vincent Fantauzzo, an artist at Turtle Island, Fiji, in a secret barefoot ceremony. Fantauzzo's four-year-old son Luca also attended the ceremony.

They met through mutual friends in April 2004. They were both committed at the time, but their paths crossed frequently. However, they eventually started dating in 2012 after Keddie divorced her ex-husband, Jay Bowen. They were married for five years before the separation.

Fantauzzo is a four-time 'Archibald People's Choice' portrait award winner, with notable portraits of Heath Ledger, Julia Gillard, and Baz Luhrmann among his works. Since he was in his 20s, he has had severe dyslexia, which he had kept hidden from his wife and family.
