Anneliese Judge is an emerging American actress prominently recognized as Annie Sullivan in the Netflix series Sweet Magnolias.

Who is Anneliese Judge?

Anneliese Judge is an American actress who stepped into the acting industry at 18. She began her career as one of the main casts of the Netflix series Sweet Magnolias in 2020.

Judge’s successful debut role followed her brief appearance as Audrey in the 2021 short untitled film by director/ writer Sam Ashby. After that, she shared screens with actors Ty Simpkins and Cara AnnMarie in the 2021 thriller/horror film Where’s Rose. 

In Where’s Rose, Judge played Jessica Waters, a friend of Ty Simpkins’s character Eric Daniels. the actress also received high praise for her work in this film. Moreover, The London Horror Society gave her a special mention in the film’s review in October 2021.

The review read, “A special mention too for Annelise Judge who plays Eric’s friend and Rose’s babysitter Jessica. Judge has a limited time in the film to make an impact, but her sorrowful eyes and tortured body language tell a harrowing story that only becomes more engaging and remarkable with hindsight. Judge leaves a big impression on the audience, and the film is all the better for this terrific piece of casting.”

Although Judge has only a few acting credits, she has gained massive fan followings in her social media handles. As of January 2022, she has amassed 97k followers on her Instagram and over 2600 followers on Twitter as of February 2022.

‘Sweet Magnolias’

Judge landed a part in the romantic web series Sweet Magnolias in early 2019. She played the teenage character Annie Sullivan, one of the main casts of the show. She has appeared in 20 episodes in the two seasons. Other cast members include Carson Rowland, JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Brooke Elliott, Heather Headley, Logan Allen, and Justin Bruening.

The show follows the titular trio of best friends who navigate through trouble one margarita at a time, based on Sherryl Woods' 11-book series. The first season concluded on a cliffhanger with the mystery of who else was involved in Kyle's vehicle accident. The series was released on Netflix on 19 May 2020 and was renewed for the second season in July of the same year.

Similarly, season 2 launched on 4 February 2022 and finished with some unanswered questions indicating a probable season 3.

Age and Early Bio

Anneliese Judge was born in Pinehurst in North Carolina, the USA, on 17 December 2001. She turned 20 years old in 2021. 

Judge received her high school education from Pinecrest High School in Southern Pines, NC. She graduated in the year 2020. The same year she joined the University of Carolina, Greensboro. She is currently a marketing and international business student and expects to earn her degree by 2024.

In a 2020 YouTube interview with Sarah Scoop, Judge said that she began her career as a model before moving into acting. “A talent agent approached me and asked me if I had ever considered modelling, and of course, I was like: ‘No, what?’ but after researching the agency I signed with them about a week later and that’s when I started acting classes,” she explained.

Family

Judge has not disclosed many details of her family members in the media. However, she posts pictures and writes about her family members on her Instagram and Twitter.

On 21 May 2020, she mentioned her grandmother in her Twitter post. Her post read, “My grammy has called me so many times today updating me on Sweet Magnolias news and letting me know when she sees my name, reading me articles and telling me how she loves the show. I’m in tears, i love my sweet grandma.”

She has a younger brother, William, as her only sibling. In December 2021, William earned his black belt in Taekwondo. Both his parents and his sister Judge attended the event. Judge also shared several pictures of the event on her Instagram, including a family picture.
