Fujii left Honolulu, Hawaii, and moved to Yakima, Washington, to join the NBC affiliate channel as their news anchor. After that, she relocated to Baltimore and worked as a reporter for CBS' WJZ and later joined CBS' KCAL9 in 2012. Fujii later debuted as the host of the ABC news show America This Morning on 1 July 2019. She shared the good news with her over 7K Twitter followers.
