Alexia Echevarria is an entrepreneur and television personality. Her fame is primarily from her long-time appearance on the reality series The Real Housewives of Miami (2011-2022).

Alexia Echevarria Short Bio

Alexia Echevarria aka Alexia Astrid Figueredo was born on 3 May 1967 in Cuba. She is a reality TV personality and entrepreneur. Moreover, she is the former executive editor and owner of the Florida-based fashion magazine Venue Magazine. She shut down the magazine after her ex-husband Herman died in 2016.

Alexia began her reality TV journey in 2011 with the Bravo TV series The Real Housewives of Miami. To date, she has appeared in 38 episodes of this reality show. In addition, she holds several credits for her guest appearances in Random Pop (2013 TV series), Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen (2011-2022 TV series), etc.

Pegy Rossello ( First Husband) 

Alexia has been part of three marriages to date. She married her first husband, Pegy Rossello, aka Pedro Lui Rossello, in 1992. The pair first saw each other in 1987 at a restaurant in Miami. At that time, they did not introduce themselves. Later, after around a week on a Friday night, they again met at Club Nu, where Pegy approached her.

Eventually, the pair started dating and got engaged in 1991. In one of the episodes of The Real Housewives of Miami, Alexia mentioned that she did not know about Pegy dealing drugs before their engagement. Moreover, he had told her that he ran his father's business. He later faced drug trafficking charges and went to prison in September 1991.

Pegy got out of prison for a year on bond and married Alexia. The pair became parents to their first son Peter in 1992. After that, he again turned himself in to complete his five-year sentence, but he got out in 1996 only after serving four years. It is when they welcomed their second son Frankie. However, the same year they divorced and parted ways.

Second Husband Herman Echevarria

Alexia married Herman Echevarria in 2004, i.e., after eight years of her separation from Pegy. The pair had appeared in several episodes of The Real Housewives of Miami. They stayed together for 11 years before finally ending their relationship in 2015. After a year, Herman died in his hotel room at the Epic Hotel on 26 September 2016. The police investigation confirmed his death as a result of natural causes.

Alexia and Todd Nepola

The 54-year-old star of The Real Housewives of Miami, Alexia, married her present husband Todd Nepola on 16 December 2021. She began her relationship with him in 2017. The pair then engaged in 2019 after seeing each other for around two years. 

Alexia and Todd had first marked their wedding day in early 2021. However, her mother passed away just before the scheduled date, leading them to reschedule their scheduled day. Thus, she exchanged vows with Todd after four months after her mother's death at the Eden Rock Hotel in St. Barths.

After her marriage, Alexia spoke with US Weekly and shared her happiness and excitement of being Todd's wife. She said,

I'm a wife!!! (A real one.) It still feels like a dream I can't even put into words. [It was] perfect for us! Truly everything we wanted. Just him and I. … We look forward to celebrating with our friends and family in 2022.

Son Accident

Alexia is the mother of her two sons, Peter and Frankie, with her ex-husband Peggy. As of now, Peter is 29, and Frankie is 25 years old.

About a decade ago, i.e., in August 2011, Frankie suffered a life-threatening car accident, subjecting him to a coma for three months.

The then 13-year-old Frankie was in the car's passenger seat at the time of the accident. The driver, who was Frankie's friend, lost control because of rain which led the vehicle to crash with another car approaching from the opposite direction.

Fortunately, Frankie has now completely recovered from the traumas and injuries of the accident. He completed his high school education in 2016 and currently co-owns a beauty center with his mother by the name of Alexia and Frankie's Beauty Bar.
