Early life and Education

Margaret Katona Josephs was born on 9 April 1967 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, USA. She obtained her degree in fashion designing and marketing from the Fashion Institute of Technology. She then worked as a dress designer in the New York Garment Center, where she discovered her interest in fashion and print. At the garment center, she was inspired and decided to start up her own fashion business.

Career

Josephs then left the New York Garment Center to launch Macbeth Collection in 1999. 

In 2007 Joseph was titled 'Country Living Entrepreneur.' There she spoke about her journey and struggles. "The minute someone says to me, 'You can't do that,' I'm determined to find 27 ways that I can. For me, business is all about passion. If you feel strongly about something, you should run with it. One of the hottest items in my line is a clipboard that I was told would never sell. That made me crazy! I've sold 25,000 of them this year," she told Country Living magazine in 2007.

Subsequently, in 2008 she landed on the panel of Country Living entrepreneurs as Honorary Judge.

In 2017, she began casting on the reality TV series The Real Housewives of New Jersey. She had also appeared in several television series episodes such as The Wendy Williams Show, Celebrity PageHome & FamilyWatch What Happens: Live, and Cash Cab.

In 1999, Josephs commenced her business line of home accessories known as the Macbeth Collection by Margaret Josephs. I have a lot to say, and I think I have valid reasons to say them," and added, "There's one thing about me. I don't have to hit a point home. I don't have to drive it home on social media, like some other people. I don't have to validate myself by saying things and beating a dead horse. I think I can say it once and it's done."

Josephs revealed a personal secret during the 11th season of the RHONJ. She opened up about how she was forced to sleep with her boss in her adolescence while working in the garment center.
