Ashley Burgos is an American model, best known as the daughter of Instagram model Bernice Burgos.

Who Is Ashley Burgos?

Ashely Burgos, aka Amarie, began her career as a professional model, following in her mother's footsteps. She began posting pictures of her on Instagram, and with that growing popularity, she began signing contracts with well-known fashion labels and modeling agencies. 

Along with her mother Bernice, Burgos co-founded Bold & Beautiful, a trademark sleepwear range for women. The company also features sporty and comfortable silhouettes.

Burgos is also the owner of The Miracle Fitness, a company that produces waist trainers for women. 

Like her mother, she also became pregnant at an early age. Even though many people condemned her decision at the time, she gave birth to her child with the support of her mother. Her daughter, India Ava Burgos, was born in 2018.

Early Life

Ashley Burgos was born on 17 April 1996, when her mother, Bernice Burgos, was just 15 years old. 

While the identity of Ashley's father was kept hidden, Bernice's father wasn't supportive of her. Instead, she felt embarrassed to be pregnant at such a young age and raised Ashley Burgos as a single mother.

She told The Breakfast Club in 2017, "Having a child at the age of 15, I had to rush into being a mother… I'm over here being pregnant at the age of 15. It was so embarrassing coz if y'all think I have a babyface now when I was 15 I looked like I was 7."

Revealing about how people talked about her when she delivered a child, "Oh my God! A baby having a baby." 

Bernice's life was forever transformed because of her pregnancy with Ashley. Her grandma evicted her, and she was forced to live with her boyfriend's mother. 

Bernice couldn't afford to pay her rent, so she was compelled to do duties around the house to stay there. Bernice had to stop going to school at one point in time due to a load of her responsibilities.

Ashley also has a half-sister named Sarai, who is 10 years younger than her. Unlike her older sister and mother, Sarai is not on social media.

Career

Just like her mother Bernice, Ashley began posting photos on her official Instagram page. Thanks to her mother's connections and influence, Ashley could begin her modeling career with ease, and soon after, her Instagram pictures were popular.

Her popularity grew over time, ending up in contracts with well-known fashion labels and modeling agencies. At the same time, she was also gradually becoming a social media celebrity. Ashley also became an entrepreneur.

Co-founder of Bold & Beautiful

Ashley came up with the idea of Bold and Beautiful, and it turned out successful for the mother-daughter duo.

Bernice said, "She designed it and she was like, 'Ma, we could do this. Let's do this together.' Even though we bump heads sometimes, she's my child. But, it's just going so well."

Though the concept behind the brand was to create comfortable, stylish sleepwear for women, the mother and daughter concentrated on comfy nightwear for women of all shapes and sizes. The idea was coined after they found a vacuum in the clothing line for sleepwear for women of different sizes and shapes who wanted to look sexy and, at the same time, feel comfortable.

Bernice had announced the new clothing line with her large social media followers, creating anticipation even before it was launched in 2015. She is now thrilled to embark on the entrepreneurial adventure with her daughter, Ashley. 

Bernice claimed her daughters were her primary source of inspiration for the business website. "It's important for me to teach progression to my daughters. Bold and Beautiful provides me with an opportunity to grow a business with my daughter and satisfy a need in the fashion industry for sleepwear that makes a woman feel sexy and comfortable at the same time," Bernice said.

Founder of The Miracle Fitness

Ashley launched The Miracle Fitness in the year 2018. Before creating the waist trainer, Ashley had decided that it should not just be a product for sale on the market but should become a lifestyle for women to achieve a snatched waistline. 

Ashley was 178 pounds when she gave birth to her daughter. It was then she wanted to have a brand that would bring women to get fit, toned, and in shape again. Ashley then developed her signature waist trainer and put it through rigorous testing for actual results. She was able to accomplish her goal weight of 130 pounds by following a healthy lifestyle of dieting, exercising, and waist training.

Her company also produces arm, thigh slimmers, sweat belts, slimming creams, and detox teas, along with waist trainers.

Became Mother At 21

Ashley, like her mother, became pregnant at the young age of 21. She welcomed her first child, India Ava Burgos, in March 2018, making Bernice a grandmother at 37.

After Ashley's pregnancy news was revealed, the mother and daughter started receiving a lot of hate messages on social media. In support of her daughter, Bernice responded to the haters with an Instagram story that Ashley had reached 21 years and was adult enough to make her own decisions about her life.

"She's happy, and whatever decisions she decides that she wants to do, I'm there for her. At the end of the day, I had her at the age of 15, you know. I was a young mom. Now, I'm going to be a young grandmother," Bernice added.
